Chocolate Cake Frosting

Who doesn't like chocolate cake? It is the classic favorite and you can never go wrong with it for any occasion. When I first tasted a chocolate cake, I immediately fell in love with its tantalizing taste and aroma. Chocolate cake with its mouth-watering flavor is truly sumptuous. But, there are so many chocolate cake frosting varieties that choosing the right frosting becomes very important to the taste of the cake. You put in so many efforts to bake a chocolate cake at home, you wouldn't want ruin with the wrong recipe of frosting, would you?

A fluffy, light chocolate cake requires a light, sweet frosting, while a simple coating of icing goes well with a heavy, rich chocolate mud cake. You can bring a great variation in the frosting by using other ingredients such as honey, coffee powder or orange juice. Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients
4 Tbsp all-purpose flour (sifted)
1 Cup milk
6-8 Squares of unsweetened chocolate
1 Cup butter (cold or frozen)
2 Cups granulated sugar
½ Tsp vanilla

Preparation
Chocolate Cake FrostingIn a saucepan, heat together sugar, milk and chocolate. Then, whisk in all-purpose flour. Bring the mixture to simmer. Keep stirring, until the mixture becomes thick. It would take about 4 minutes. Then, remove the pan from heat and put it into refrigerator to cool down. When it becomes thick, take out from the freezer. When your chocolate cake is ready, take out the frosting from the freezer. Cut cold butter into chunks and add into partially cooled chocolate mixture. Using an electric mixer, whip at medium speed, until butter is mixed well. Then, whip the frosting at high speed for about 5 minutes, until it becomes fluffy and light. Spread the frosting on the cooled chocolate cake.
